Changelog

Every EMPRISE update, on the website and on iPhone, and what it brings

  • 1.3latest version
  • 10playable Orders
  • 8Heralds
  • 1Order still sealed

EMPRISE keeps evolving. The website gets each version the day it is ready; the iPhone app gets it after the App Store review, usually a few days later. This page keeps track of everything that changes.

An idea, a problem? In the game, go to Settings, then “A problem, an idea?”. Everything is read.

Version 1.3

On iPhone after the App Store review.

  • The ranks of the Cinders, the Abysses, the Guardians and the Cursed are rebalanced; the tutorial, the demonstrations and the site pages show the new ranks.
  • Heralds can be played against the Echo again, as well as in Classic match and in friend challenges.
  • Campaign: tiers need a little less XP, the end-of-game summary shows the gauge and the rewards received, and the chest on the hub counts the rewards paid since your last visit.
  • On iPhone, the Oath window shows its value, and buying it pays out the rewards of the tiers already reached at once.
  • At the end of a game against the Echo or a local duel, “Play again” starts a new game with the same Orders and the same options.
  • Shop: “See it in action” shows the Herald of the day at work, and when you are short, a button takes you where you can make up the difference.
  • An unsolved Daily Riddle is marked with a golden dot.
  • VoiceOver: the hub, the tutorial, the choice of Orders, windows, online play and the end of the game can be followed with the screen reader.
  • The site has its pages in English.
  • New in-game music: Balefire, by Scott Buckley.
  • And also: the Echo waits for a Resonance to finish before playing, the score goes up card by card, banners are bigger in Friends with the last connection visible, and Story mode looks better on computers.

Version 1.2

On iPhone on October 13, after the App Store review.

  • On iPhone, the Heralds arrive in the Shop: the Herald of the day on its own, or all eight at once. They can still be earned for free by finishing their Story mode chapter.
  • On iPhone, a notification lets you know when a friend challenges you, even with the app closed.
  • On iPhone, every purchase has its own ceremony, and “Restore purchases” is also in the Shop.
  • Rush Hour: every evening from 9 to 11 pm, XP and coins are doubled online, with two quests just for that time slot.
  • Rewards calendar: one gift for each day you log in, and on day 31 the banner The Sleeping Colossus.
  • Mini-tutorials: on each Order's page in the game, tap “?” to see its ability in two moves.
  • Guided first game: after the tutorial, a duel against the Echo at the level of your choice, then the Orders page and their mini-tutorials.
  • Music: two tracks by Scott Buckley, one for the menus, one for the duels. Adjustable in Settings.
  • Your arena: change your board and card back from your profile.
  • Friend quests: take on your friends for new rewards.
  • In Ranked, the average waiting time is shown during the search.
  • Resonance and Ripple: the timer pauses and each effect is explained on screen.
  • Sudden Death: the whole Reserve comes back into hand, and each player chooses the card they place.
  • Story mode: every opponent has a name, from The Ember to The Grand Scribe. Tournament: a 5-gem entry, 40 for the winner, and the opponent's username on screen.
  • And also: filtered chat, a clearer tutorial on visible hands, and the end of the beta: “A problem, an idea?” moves to the Settings.

Version 1.1

On iPhone on October 10, after the App Store review.

  • Save your progress with an Apple or Google account, and pick it up again on another device (Settings › My account).
  • The iPhone app's Shop offers gems, and the Campaign its Oath.
  • Online, if your opponent lets their turn go by, a move is played for them. The second time in a row, they lose by forfeit.
  • The “+” next to the gems is back, and the Gilded's ability is better explained.

Version 1.0

The App Store release, after the open beta on the website in September.

  • EMPRISE arrives on the App Store, free, alongside the website.
  • Ten playable Orders, and an eleventh still sealed.
  • Story mode: eight chapters, 56 games, a Herald and a banner as the reward for each one.
  • Online: Ranked and its Pantheon, challenges between friends, eight-player tournaments. On a single device, the local duel.
  • Against the Echo, from Novice to Warlord.
  • The ten Treaties, tracked in your profile: your style speaks for you.
  • An interactive tutorial, Sudden Death included, available at any time in the Settings.
